Why will my burned dvd play on my computer but not on my dvd player?
Why don't videos downloaded from Google-Video & burnt on to VCD not play in my DVD player?
The VCD will play on my computer, but only with the Google Video player programme. Is it do with the format? Is there anything that can be done to play the CD on a DVD player?
If the VCD shows up as "No Disc" on your DVD Player, then perhaps you need to activate the VCD function of your DVD Player?
Its often known as PBC (Playback Control) and its often disabled by default on some DVD players for some bizarre reason. All DVD players are different, you may be able to change the setting in the Setup menu of your player or there might be a PBC button on your remote control.
If this doesn't work for you, then sorry your DVD player doesn't support playback of VCDs, which isn't unusual!
"Playback control, PBC, is available for Video CD (VCD) 2.0 and Super Video CD (SVCD) 1.0 disc formats. PBC allows control of the playback of play items and the possibility of interaction with the user through the remote control or some other input device available."
