How to Remove Scratches From Any DVD

how to remove scratch from inside of tinted window?
I'm really smart. I scratched the inside of my dad's rear window and its tinted, and then I thought I could fix it with DVD fixer... so now the scratch is bigger and more obvious b/c the tint seems to be gone in that area. Any ideas how to fix it? Or should I give up and cut my losses?
It's probably a stick on tint and you just scratched off part of it. It's probably easier to have it all removed and a new one put on.

I actually do the same with only toothpaste, and just rinse with warm water between polishes. And its saved few dvds, but for totally deep cracks its just easier to go for some machine to grind the surface..
